Marissa Nederhouser's artistic expression is a further extension of her own quite passionate physical and emotion response to the world around her.  All pieces tend to re-create an intense sensation, whether it was real or imagined, and thus each can have a very different impact on the viewer.  They represent the many places around the world she has had conflicted feelings about, just as anyone experiences in a place they care about.

Below are examples of pencil sketches, digital and mixed media, and photography.  She has also done work in acrylic paint and video art for art/music gallery openings and clubs.

Sketchwork

I bestow upon thee
The day I missed church
Did I turn off the iron?
Stink eye
Indigestion
Crap, I'm in love

Digital Art/Mixed media

 Finger in a socket
High with a mirror
Inside the giant peach

Sweet, drunken, dancin' gal
I think I've lost the hiking trail
If you could see through my eyes, you would be in my skull

Let there be limelight
Drinking and driving
Don't look up during a rainstorm
